Did John Lennon / The Beatles write "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" with any drug connotations in mind?

Wow, , thanks for the trip down memory lane...the video is like an LSD trip...beautiful art for a great song...in those days it was so common to malign songs for having "drug connotations"....as if that was of some significance....like it mattered....like even if it did speak of or glorify drugs....so what!...could that ever tarnish the essence of a good song?.....I think not...but I do believe John, that it was from his son's art work....Clip from Cavett was very curious....initially John looked like he was on drugs....but then he calmed down....and was still and reasonable...but he definitely had an agenda...to grind Yoko's ax with her kid's father....I always thought that she distracted him from his true path....her issues seemed to consume him...and they took on a significance much greater than would be meet....and I never thought she was very special....I thought she brought him down....and yet he continued to try to show the world how special she was....his biggest failure, I think......beautiful, beautiful boy, that John Lennon.....
