Why would a peaceful god put us in this universe?

It's not exactly what you call...reasonable, with all these meteorites, and supernovas and black holes and what not. You'd think this ''god'' would be smart enough to realize that by making an intelligent species we would be able to leave our solar system (hopefully soon >.>) and actually go explore other star systems, but with all the CRAP in the way I guess he would mostly likely say ''it is their doing, they left earth, they got killed'', none the less the sun will get hotter and hotter and the earth will be CRAP then T_T though it may not happen in our lifetime, it's still going to get hot if we're still here, is this reasonable to you or no? lol
