Is my turbo after blowing or intercooler pipe? plz help?

So i got my car back today from the garage..It just got a new recondition turbo(second hand) from germany..Im living in Ireland.. i have a 1.9 GT tdi golf 2003 and when i got the car i was told not to drive it to hard for first 1000miles..he said you cant test it once if you like..and when i died boom something blew and now the car goes but its a noisey psssssshhh like from the turbo or air or something...and the car is powerless(no turbo)...turbo gone or intercooler pipe???????? plz help
