My VW Dune Buggy Engine has number 5115400 stamped below the gen. post. Is it a 1961?

The plug that was in the engine is a Bosch W145T1 or RO 145 if this helps. This is my first VW and I can't wait to get it running! Needless to say I'm a little apprehensive and want to make sure I don't screw up before I get started. Thanks for any help you can give me.
