Advice on hair dye please!?

So originally I had like brown dyed hair with blond high lights. One day I got tired of it and dyed my hair back to my original hair color black, but I didn't like how it was like super unnatural looking black. So right after I tried to dye it brown again and it didn't really work. Since then I just kept it the way it is. It has been about 3 months now and I want to dye it back to brown. I bought bleach this time and I wanna know how brown will my hair turn out if I bleached it and then used a mocha brown color dye. Will the color come out as the box says after bleaching?
