What is wrong with the argument that "Americans are too lazy to do it anyways"?

This is probably one of the most annoying arguments on any topic. In my town, we do not have any illegal aliens, yet all the jobs get done, there are still people who mow the lawns, who clean the streets, who work as maids and housekeepers. The statement that "white Americans are too lazy" is also an ignorant statement, summing up the entire white population demographic.
