What do men think about having children?

i was just curious what men think about children as their relationship grows... like when dating, once you get married, once you have one child, do you like more than one once you have a child? seemed like my husband really felt uncomfortable about having children and really didn't like me talking to or cooing children, once we got married it seemed it wasn't as bad, now that we are pregnant and only a week away from having our own he is extra sweet to me and is getting really excited and protective of me and our son... telling me what i will be able to do and not do once he is born... not being bossy but like me, i am not for much for staying in and like to go shopping and eat out... he doesn't want me doing those kinds of things he said without him until the baby is months old... plus i had a wreck at 15 weeks pregnant that could have killed me because an 82 year old lady ran a stop light and hit the driver's side of my car... all that happened to me is rib contusions... and i think that scares him that it could happen again... when i told him i would eventually like to have another child he was like, lets just due with one right now and see how we like it... that is why i was asking after one child do men usually want another as time goes on... think he is just nervous like i am... we both have never had to take care of an infant so we don't know what it is like... i think that is why he has said lets just start with one... also i was wanting to ask if a man is really loving to his wife and a family pet by giving them treats all the time and playing with them does that mean he'll more than likely be a very loving father to a baby?
